BBQ PONTOON & BOAT HIRE: TERMS & CONDITIONS
DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT TERMS When booking our BBQ PONTOON BOAT, a $100 booking deposit is required to confirm a booking. If and when the deposit is made and we receive confirmation of your deposit, then your booking will be locked in and confirmed. Full payment of the hire is payable on the day of hire at our shop by either eftpos or cash.
For Hire boats (half day or full day) a $50 booking deposit is required to be paid.
Any Hire Boats that are either multiple day hire or take away from lake Awoonga or the total cost is $150 or over, then we require a $100 booking deposit.
Booking deposit shall be paid to our nominated business account or via cash or eftpos at our shop. Your booking is NOT CONFIRMED until the booking deposit is paid and you have notified us of the payment.
CONDITIONS OF HIRE To hire any of our powered hire boats, the hirer must be 18 year or over (16 years and over with a recreational marine drivers licence). All hirers must bring with them and show us photo id and have a mobile phone number that we can contact them on during the hire, if needed. you will be requested to fill in our HIRE AGREEMENT FORM which contains rules of the area and conditions of the hire for the day, by signing this form you agree to the terms layed out in it. Any damage caused to our vessels is the hirers full responsibility and in-turn the hirer will pay in full for any form of damage or undue care to our equipment that has been caused while they hire it. As the hirer and the "Captain of the Boat", you are responsible for ALL passengers safety and will drive the boat in a safe orderly manner. you agree that you know and understand the rules set out in the HIRE AGREEMENT FORM and by signing it agree to them.
ARRIVAL TIME All hirers should arrive at least 10 minutes before their confirmed booking departure time to fill out paperwork and go through our safety briefing. If a hirer arrives later than the confirmed booking time, then at the discretion of us, the owners, you will be charged from the confirmed booking time and your return time will coincide with the agreed time you made when booked. If a hirer fails to arrive by the agreed booking time and has not made contact with us with in 15 minutes, then we reserve the right to re-hire the vessel and all paid monies (deposits) will be forfeited.
HIRE CANCELLATION POLICY One Persons interpretation of "a perfect day on the water" may not be the same as somebody else's. As a Rental Company, last minute cancellations are very costly. At the same time we understand that unforeseen things arise and we don't want to make your Lake Awoonga Experience a bad one and we don't want to see you lose you booking deposit if something happens personally. Our cancellation policy is simple, strict, but fair !!!
You may cancel your Booking at any time. We DO NOT give refunds, rather we will offer to reschedule you for another time (with in 2 months). PLEASE INFORM US IF YOU WISH TO RESCHEDULE WITHIN ONE WEEK OF YOU CANCELLING. If you fail to take this option you forfeit your booking deposit in total. We do NOT allow cancellations for "less than ideal weather". If the weather is bad due to high winds, lightning or very heavy rain we will call you to cancel and you will be given the opportunity to rebook within 2 months from the cancellation date or your deposit can be refunded within 7 working days. We reserve the right to cancel any rental at any time due to extreme conditions deemed unsafe.
